1)Affect:
- If it rains, the water will affect the way cars drives on the roads.
- The cut on his leg will affect the way he plays in football.

2) Maintain:
- It is hard for the teacher in class to maintain 20 students everyday.
- It's hard to maintain my anger especially when i know it is him who was talking behind my back.

- It is hard to read the kind of text that is written on this piece of paper.
- Many people like to write in the cursive text, but it is very difficult to read.

Week 2 Vocabulary Definitons & Examples

1) Affect (verb, noun) - The weather can affect your mood for the day.
Def- To act on; produce an effect or change in.
Ex:Cold weather affected the crops.

2) Maintain (verb, noun) - Zoo keepers do their best to maintain the natural habitat of the animals.
Def- To keep in existence or continuance; perserve; retain.
Ex: to maintain good relations with neighboring countries.

3) Text (verb, noun) - The text about World War I is confusing; but the text on the human body is very intriguing.
Def- The main body of matter in a manuscript, book, newspaper, etc., as distinguished from notes, appendixes, headings, illustrations, etc.
Ex: You have not kept to the text of my remarks.

Week 1 Vocabulary Paragraph

I always have fun everyday that i'm in class with all my friends and a very nice teacher. Especially when we do science, we always examine about how the Aztecs and Mayans died. I always derive something new when i get out of school. I have a lot of trouble in math, especially with the adding and subtracting fractions. But, at times i like when we analyze exponents.
